What does the Bible say about baptism?
Baptism is an act of obedience and a symbol of new life in Christ as we participate in Christ’s death and resurrection to new life. While it is appropriate to dedicate newborn infants to the Lord, baptism is for those who have chosen to follow Jesus Christ. Baptism is a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, 2 Corinthians 5:17)
