Pennies from Heaven is an old saying that started during the Great Depression. It was a time of unprecedented hardship in our nation and most were without hope. Six years into the depression, at our darkest moment, came a song about hope. Not hope of an end of the hardship, but of help in the middle of hardship. And the source of that hope? Heaven! Nothing has changed in the last 75 years. Hope still comes from Heaven, but instead of pennies, we have God's Promises!
